Australia's
largest and most popular all-historic motor race meeting
presents two action-packed days of non-stop racing featuring
over 400 historic racing cars and motorbikes from the 1920s
to the 1980s. One of the
continuing highlights of Historic Winton is Shannon's
Classic Vehicle Display with hundreds of interesting old
vehicles - and their owners - on show. This display has
become a major diversion from the on-track activities with
some of the world's most desirable vehicles scattered
nonchalantly around the classic vehicle car park.
It doesn't
matter what you drive, if it's a classic or special-interest
car or bike, you're welcome to join the show. There is
no better place than Historic Winton to appreciate the
evolution of Australian Motor Sport. The 2008 meeting on May
24-25 features a selection of Grand Prix vehicles ranging
from the first Australian Grand Prix in 1928 through to the
1960s. The competition paddock area features pioneering and
innovative Aussie specials which highlight a wealth of old
fashioned Aussie ingenuity in their construction. Enquiries:
