Gates will open at 8 am for public ... non stop track side action from 8.30 - 4.30 both days. Plenty of heritage themed displays to be seen around the track perimeter.

Historic Winton Honouring the Past - Australia's largest and most popular all-historic motor race meeting presents two big days of non-stop racing featuring over 400 historic racing cars and motorbikes from the 1920s to the 1980s.

 Festivities start on Friday 17th May with the Benalla and District Classic Car & Motorbike Tour, followed by the Historic Race and Heritage Display which will be held on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 May 2019.

The 43rd Historic Winton Anniversary and Special Features List includes :

  • 110 years - Morgan Three Wheeler,
  • 110 years - Bugatti- with 90 years celebrations of Australian Grand Prix victories 1929, 1930 and 1931.
  • 100 years - Alvis, Armstrong Siddeley, Bentley, Citroen, Salmson. 
  • 90 years - Borgward, M Type MG.
  • 80 years - Alta, Ford Anglia, Peterbilt Trucks. 
  • 70 years - Austin 7 Club Inc. 
  • 60 years - Austin Healey 3000, Datsun Sports, Jaguar Mk II, Mercedes Benz Fintails, Mini, Triumph Herald, Opening of Hume Weir and Barjarg Circuits.
  • 50 years - Formula Ford in Australia.
  • Plus Special Features-
  • Shannons' Classic Car Park, featuring car and bike clubs plus special interest vehicles.
  • Sunday Market Place.
  • Heritage Displays featuring vintage speedway cars and bikes, micro cars, cycle cars, pedal cars, push bikes, dragsters, veteran cars/motorcycles, vintage buses, work vehicles, caravans, speed boats, postie bikes, historic racing lawn mowers and lots more.   

Note- We are particularly interested in any old competition vehicles in any condition as we wish to showcase them in the Shannons' Classic Car Park or Heritage Display locations.  Information on suitable vehicles will be greatly appreciated. Winton Motor Raceway Ticketing and Entry Fees:

Tickets will be available at the course entry gate and now available online- see below for a special early booking deal. Standard Gate prices are Saturday $30, Sunday $40 weekend $60, children 17 and under n/c, Competition Paddock $5.

Friday 17th May 2019- Benalla Historic Vehicle tour:

Be part of the Benalla Historic Vehicle Tour assembling from 8.30 am for a 10.00 am start Friday 17th May at the new venue- Benalla Gliding Club, Samaria Road Benalla. No gravel roads. Red Plate vehicles welcome. The Tour concludes with a 'Shine & Show' display.
